Welcome to Château de la Vigne
Château de la Vigne offers excellent self-catering accommodation with a wide range of
facilities and is ideally situated for exploring the many wonderful delights of the Loire Valley.
The Château, formerly the home of a wine-maker, is set in mature and extensive grounds
with secure walled courtyards. The original building was destroyed during the Vendeen
war of 1793 and the present property was re-built in 1830.
We are situated on the edge of the small wine producing village of Concourson-sur-Layon,
known for its “Anjou” and “Coteaux de Layon” wines, some 15 miles from the enchanting
town of Saumur and just 3 miles from the market town of Doué la Fontaine. |
On-site facilities for the free and exclusive use of
guests include an impressive 12 x 6m (40’ x 20’) floodlit swimming pool, set within a secure walled
garden and with a large terrace , games room with pool table, table tennis and boules.
Young children are more than
welcome and are well catered for with many toys,
games and bicycles. |
