Château de
la Vigne offers excellent self-catering accommodation with a wide range of
facilities and is ideally situated for exploring the many wonderful
delights of the Loire
Valley. All
properties have access to free broadband internet.
The
Château, formerly the home of a wine-maker, is set in mature and extensive
grounds with secure walled courtyards. The original building was destroyed
during the Vendeen war of 1793 and the present property was re-built in
1830.
We are situated off the D960 on the edge of the small wine producing
village of Concourson-sur-Layon, known for its “Anjou”
and “Coteaux de Layon” wines, some 15 miles from the enchanting
town of Saumur
and just 3 miles from the market town of Doué la Fontaine.

 On-site facilities for
the free and exclusive use of
guests include an impressive 12 x 6m (40’ x 20’) floodlit
swimming pool, set within a secure walled garden and with a large terrace ,
games room with pool table, table tennis and boules.
Young
children are more than welcome and are well catered for with many toys,
games and bicycles.
